Welcome to Crypto Raiders, a utility-based NFT RPG where players own the assets. Players can buy Raiders to run dungeons, own the MOBS that fight Raiders, or join a Guild to find the perfect player balance.
This in-depth guide will give you all the resources you need to join the Crypto Raiders ecosystem.
Once you follow the steps below or as outlined in the summary, you can start raiding.
Blockchain Gaming and NFTs
All ownable assets in Crypto Raiders exist as tokens in order to trade them. To trade and store the assets in the Crypto Raiders ecosystem, you will need a wallet like MetaMask to connect to the website.
MetaMask is easy to download and simple to navigate, making it the preferred wallet for most crypto holders. You can get it as a browser extension on desktop or on mobile here.
Make sure you store your 12-word private key (seed phrase) somewhere safe that only you can access.
Owning the In-Game Assets
To actually play with Raiders and hold MOBS, among other aspects of the game, you will need to purchase them on the Polygon Network. To do that, you’ll need to have currency on Polygon.
Once you have ETH, you’ll need to bridge it over to Polygon. Use the official Polygon Bridge here.
Select Polygon Bridge
Deposit and transfer
There are Ethereum gas fees associated when sending your ETH from L1 (Ethereum Mainnet) to L2 (Polygon).
Once you have PoS-ETH, all you need is MATIC as gas for any transaction on Polygon. You can get some MATIC for gas at a faucet like this one.
Enter your MetaMask wallet address, verify with the captcha, and press send!
This will be enough MATIC to get you through a transaction or two. At this point, you may want to use a DEX (Decentralized Exchange) on Polygon like SushiSwap. First, you will need to “Add Allowance,” and then after that transaction goes through, you can swap your tokens for some more MATIC (“Add Allowance” is necessary for all novel transactions on Polygon).
To view your tokens and to log in later, you will need to add Matic Mainnet to your wallet. To do this, open MetaMask on your toolbar and click on the network name you are currently on.
At the bottom, choose “Custom RPC,” and you can input the information needed to access Matic Mainnet.
There are multiple RPC options, so if one doesn’t seem to be working for you, try finding a more recent RPC on the official Polygon blog.
Raiders vs. MOBS
Now that you have PoS-ETH and MATIC for transactions, you can start buying in-game assets.
Raiders and MOBS can be purchased with PoS-ETH (ETH on Poly, which you get from bridging ETH to Polygon) on OpenSea (Raiders/MOBS). When the Crypto Raiders Auction House launches, you will be able to buy all assets with $AURUM--more info on $AURUM and $RAIDER in the bonus section at the bottom.
Raiders are the characters that you can use to run dungeons, find loot, and do mini-games with like fishing. Each week, Raiders can run three dungeons for free to find loot, earn $AURUM (our in-game utility token), and get more XP.
MOBS are the player-owned enemies in dungeons with rarity ranging from fodder--base level MOBS, to mythic--the top-tier strongest MOBS. When a MOB defeats a Raider, the owner will get a portion of the Raider’s gear and $AURUM. MOBS are not playable, but they do offer a great option for getting into the Crypto Raiders ecosystem as a passive option.
Now that you have your Raider, you can start running dungeons and earning gear. Connect to MetaMask on Matic Mainnet and log in here.
Finish signing in to begin raiding!
Choose your Raider with missions left, and pick a dungeon.
If you run out of dungeons, you can spend $AURUM to reset your raids. Each time you reset your raids, you will get 3 dungeons with that Raider, and the cost will double each time you reset with that Raider until dungeons have their weekly reset.
Funding Raids and Other Utilities (BONUS)
Crypto Raiders runs on the $RAIDER and $AURUM economy. $RAIDER is our fixed supply token that players can stake to earn $AURUM or hold to stay invested in the overall game economy and ecosystem.
$AURUM is our utility token. Any transactions that occur within Crypto Raiders will use $AURUM. You can find the token addresses, buttons to buy these tokens, and more at Crypto Raiders Bank.
